By the way Chris, when I was in West Register house on Tuesday they told me they will be shut between Christmas and the New Year as well as the standard public holidays. I believe the Historic search room is open as usual and you can still order documents to there. I can’t see anything on the NAS website so thought I would let you know. Thanks for all the updates; they are really helpful.

Thanks Emma, I did try the SP centre site also for its opening hours, nothing there yet - guess it will all be put online next week!

Hope you and Graham have a good Christmas!
