National Archives of Scotland - Lerwick Post Office staff arrests

The National Archives of Scotland has a fascinating account on its news site of the arrest of 40 members of Lerwick Post Office on November 1st 1914. All were sent to prison for a week, detained under two articles within the Defence of the Realm Act, and eventually released on November 7th. None of them had a clue as to why they had been incarcerated.
